Hero steps up launches of new bikes

Hero MotoCorp has stepped up its new launches to keep up the momentum. In July this year, Hero MotoCorp launched a new bike Hero Ignitor to strengthen its presence in the deluxe segment.

This new bike from Hero MotoCorp comes close on the heels of the launch of its first "Hero" branded scooter Maestro, which was launched just nearly a month before. 

Hero MotoCorp has already launched three new models in quick succession - the Impulse, Maestro and Ignitor. Hero MotoCorp also plans to launch another new bike, the 110cc motorcycle Passion X Pro

Hero MotoCorp recently said that it will invest over Rs 2,500 crore for setting up two new plants (in Rajasthan and Gujarat), expanding capacity at existing plants and in building an integrated R&D centre (in Rajasthan).  Hero MotoCorp is planning to increase its capacity to 9 million units in two years' time.

Hero MotoCorp registered its highest ever quarterly sales of 16,42,292 two-wheelers in the first quarter this fiscal, fuelled by two consecutive months of highest-ever monthly sales witnessed by the company.
